We are looking for someone interested in working at the Dialysis Unit at Mora Hospital. The Dialysis Unit is part of the Nephrology Section, which takes care of patients in need of some form of renal replacement therapy. We are open during daytime Monday to Saturday all year round, with weekend shifts 2 Saturdays every 5 weeks.

Here, we take care of and educate patients so they can manage their treatment themselves at home or at the clinic.

• PD-Peritoneal Dialysis patients perform dialysis at home independently or assisted.
• Home-Hemodialysis patients perform dialysis at home independently.
• Self-HD patients manage their treatment independently but come to the Dialysis Unit.

HD patients receive fully assisted treatment at the Dialysis Unit. This is where you will work after completing your dialysis training and induction, which is estimated to last 8-10 weeks. The work at the Dialysis Unit is independent, stimulating, and varied, while being routine-oriented. We are happy to explain and show you what it entails.

Responsibilities

As a nurse at the Hemodialysis Unit, you are responsible, together with doctors and colleagues, for the care and prescribed treatment of dialysis patients. This means combining care with medical technology. The care needs vary depending on the general condition of the dialysis patients, so the work can range from monitoring to handling acute conditions. The majority of hemodialysis patients have chronic kidney disease, which means establishing a long-term relationship.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse with healthcare experience who is interested in outpatient care and medical technology. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, good teamwork, flexibility, ability to take initiative, and good customer service skills.

Possibility of rotation to ward/clinic.
