We are now looking for substitute nurses for the summer of 2025. The Emergency Care Center opened on 1/6-21 and is a 24/7 facility that is welcoming, where patients can seek care directly. The Emergency Care Center is part of primary care and through increased accessibility, it provides security and closer care for the population of Västerbergslagen. It is intended to be a modern digital reception. Our mission is to offer children and adults emergency care that cannot wait but does not require the resources of the emergency hospital. We work in two teams, a triage team and a field team, where all employees take a lot of responsibility for their tasks and where we strive for everyone to have their own areas of responsibility. All our patients come via drop-in and are assessed in the first step by a nurse and nursing assistant. Subsequently, further handling/final handling by a doctor or assessment and treatment by a nurse.

Substitute Nurse, Emergency Care Center Ludvika

Responsibilities

The work includes assisting in various procedures, sampling and analysis in our own laboratory, as well as carrying out drug prescriptions including inhalations, infusions, and injections. You will work both in triage/assessment and as a field nurse, and you should feel confident in assessing acute patients and receiving ambulance transports.

As a nurse, you have a leadership role and it is important that you can prioritize, reprioritize, coordinate, and delegate tasks to the rest of the team. Communication/information and close collaboration with all professional categories are important to keep the work flowing. We use the Take Care journal system and document in the emergency log as well as use the assessment support RETTS.

The Emergency Care Center is a 24/7 operation where you work day, evening, and/or night as well as weekends.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• licensed nurse

Meritorious:

• specialist training in emergency care, pediatrics, open health care, or ambulance
• several years of experience
• experience from emergency care and primary care
• experience with the Take Care journal system
