Workplace Description

The Northern Skarpnäck preschools consist of thirteen preschools in the district that collaborate on pedagogical development. This is manifested in common internal training and shared services that support the pedagogical content.

The preschools have nice indoor environments, and we have fantastic nature around our preschools that provide endless opportunities for children to experience nature, movement, and play. Our preschool environments should attract, inspire, and challenge children in play for learning and exploration together with other children and staff.

Job Description

We are looking for a substitute childcare worker for the Åkervägen preschool in Kärrtorp. The position is a substitute during the spring and autumn terms of 2025 with the possibility of extension. Your role is to, together with the team, drive the pedagogical work forward. We hope to find someone like you who, like us, has the ambition to provide children with a safe, developmental, fun, and educational time at the preschool. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of good and close collaboration with guardians and other significant individuals in the child's environment. You can build trust and confidence while being clear about your professional boundaries.

Qualifications

The position requires proficiency in the Swedish language and the ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You are a trained childcare worker and feel comfortable working both independently and in a group.

It is important that as a childcare worker, you are present and active with the children. You show joy, curiosity, and engagement in the children's exploration and ask the staff what you should do or what they expect from you. At our preschools, we work to ensure that children succeed and have a good time throughout the day. The prerequisite for this is that we as adults always take responsibility for situations that arise. We respond, address, and affirm the children, showing them that they are important and that their words and actions are taken seriously.

Our families are accustomed to a well-functioning operation, and there is great trust in our preschools, which means that you are also expected to greet everyone nicely and kindly, for example, by introducing yourself and greeting all children and families when you are together in the yard. We will take great consideration of your personal suitability.

The working hours are full-time, Monday to Friday, daytime.
