Job Description

The orthopedic department includes an acute and an elective unit. In the acute unit, we care for patients with acute injuries to the musculoskeletal system. This can involve fractures of various kinds as well as muscle injuries and pain conditions. Most of our patients require surgery, with a focus on pre- and postoperative care. You will work in a team with nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors.

On our elective unit, we care for patients who come for a planned operation. This may involve, for example, the need to replace a worn joint or operate on a fracture that does not require immediate surgery. Here, we work with relatively healthy patients who have short care pathways. Collaboration with nursing assistants, doctors, and physiotherapists is crucial for smooth workflow. We also have a gatekeeping service for patients undergoing day surgery. It is a day care unit located in the same premises as our elective unit.

We believe that a secure start at your new workplace is important, which is why we provide individually tailored training. If you are a newly graduated nurse, we can also offer the opportunity to attend a basic year. The work is scheduled during the day and evening. We work 2 out of 5 weekends. Night work is not required, but there is an opportunity for rotation if desired.
