Description of the workplace

Tallmossen group home is part of the Functional Support department in the Welfare sector. You work closely with your colleagues, your unit manager, and other partners, collaborating with other activities within the department.

Tallmossen group home offers housing for five individuals covered by the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS). The overall goal of the law is for the individual to be able to live like everyone else without being limited by their disability. Here, together with your colleagues, you will work to offer the residents of Tallmossen group home the best possible living conditions.

Your mission

We help and support the residents with care services based on their individual needs and preferences, according to granted support. The work is carried out based on established implementation plans and goals. The work includes providing support in all household chores such as planning, personal hygiene, clothing care, laundry, cleaning, dietary management, cooking, shopping, finances, medication, social training, as well as leisure and cultural activities. Other important tasks include developing and maintaining individual abilities and communication, supporting the residents' self-determination and personal integrity. We create and maintain conditions for quality of life, security, and self-determination.

The working hours are scheduled around the clock and are adapted to the needs of the operation.

Your skills

We are looking for someone who is trained as a support educator/support assistant or has an approved nursing and care program or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. We prefer if you have previous experience as a support assistant or experience in care-related and/or pedagogical work. It is positive if you have experience in pedagogy for clarity. Since the work requires communication and documentation, we expect you to be computer literate and proficient in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. A driver's license is required.

As a person, you are good at conveying security, have a low-affect approach, and can handle complex expressions. You are stress-resistant, value collaboration, and demonstrate a professional approach to everyone in your work. You work from a holistic perspective and have the ability to plan and structure your work. Furthermore, you need to be able to make your own decisions while respecting decisions made by others and be able to work on behalf of others.
