Another project the researcher will participate in concerns research on “Early warning systems” within the EU consortium PARC. Additionally, the position includes participation in the supervisory group (co-supervisor) for a PhD project focused on developing models for assessing different population groups' exposure to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) as a tool for risk assessment of PFAS exposure primarily through the consumption of fish and drinking water. Furthermore, the researcher will participate in a research project on the transfer of PFAS from grazing/feed/water to food-producing animals, and food from these, on farms in PFAS-contaminated areas (PFRIME).
Responsibilities
Main responsibility for publishing results from CETCHAA in scientific journals, as well as reporting this project to national research funders. Within PFRIME, the researcher will participate in the scientific publication of the results. Additionally, participation in planning, implementation, and publication of studies as part of the work package “Early Warning Systems” within PARC is included, primarily focused on studies of new chemicals in food and biological tissues from different population groups, as well as risk ranking of chemicals in food. Participation in the supervisory group, as a co-supervisor, includes guidance on issues primarily concerning the population's exposure to PFAS.
