Systems Engineer for Unmanned Vehicles
Do you have experience with technically complex projects? We are now looking for a new employee for an expanding operation in the marine sector where you will be part of driving development in a rapidly growing area – unmanned systems. In close collaboration with an experienced team, you will have the opportunity to influence both detail and overall project aspects that strengthen the capabilities of the Armed Forces and Sweden. Your work is significant at every step, from needs and ideas to delivery and follow-up.
About the Position
As a systems engineer for unmanned vehicles, you will be responsible for ensuring that our systems meet the identified and decided capability needs. This includes financial planning, overseeing system work and governing documents, as well as providing expertise on the systems. Your area of responsibility will be unmanned vehicles.
In the role of systems engineer, you will ensure that the equipment meets requirements and needs, which includes both investment in new equipment, configuration of existing equipment, and support systems. You will provide support during planning and implementation, ensuring that the equipment is adapted to the needs and used safely. In this role, you will adapt equipment for various test scenarios, analyze test data, and propose actions to address functional and safety deficiencies. You will ensure the competence level of remote operators and be responsible for quality assurance of the systems. Furthermore, you will collaborate with project managers on finances, planning, and follow-up of utilization rates, as well as serve as technical support for unmanned vehicles. A significant part of the role involves developing the business based on customer needs and building and maintaining good relationships with customers and suppliers.
The unit is in an expanding phase, and you will be part of driving development, building up a new area, and growing with us where our working method is characterized by close communication and collaboration. The position is located in Karlskrona. Travel is common, primarily within Sweden.
About You
We are looking for someone who is educated as a civil or engineering graduate or has another relevant education in the field or has equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent. To succeed in the role, it is essential that you have relevant and current experience working on technically complex projects. It is an advantage if you have relevant and current experience from the technical field of unmanned systems, such as drones, underwater vehicles, or unmanned boats. We also prefer candidates with experience in testing and evaluation activities within technically advanced systems. Experience and knowledge in business development is a plus. If you have good knowledge of unmanned systems and their components, including sensors and accessories, we see this as an advantage. Basic requirements include good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as well as a valid driver's license (B).
