We are looking for a Project Engineer in Machine and Piping Design for Billerud Skärblacka Mill

Are you a problem solver with expertise in mechanics and piping design? Do you want to work in a stimulating and developing environment where you have the opportunity to lead projects from idea to implementation? Then this is the position for you!

We are looking for a project engineer who wants to be part of our project department and contribute to both small and large investment projects. You will have direct contact with project members, operations, maintenance, and external suppliers, and be a key person in driving process technical improvements.

You will belong to our project department where you will be one of about 20 colleagues.

The employment form is permanent, and we wish to fill the position as soon as possible.

Your main responsibilities

• Feasibility studies, pre-projects, and implementation of both small and large investment projects related to mechanics and piping design
• Prepare tender documents and calculations for the procurement of equipment and services and participate in purchasing negotiations
• In collaboration with operations and maintenance departments, be responsible for mechanical design work and drive process technical improvements in the existing facility
• Follow technical developments and standards in the field and establish necessary supplier contacts
• Develop design documentation within the area of responsibility

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have:

• good knowledge of design work with a focus on machine and piping design and an interest in developments in the field
• university degree or equivalent knowledge gained through professional experience and other training
• good skills in spoken and written English and Swedish

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience from the paper and pulp industry or other process industry
• knowledge of AutoCAD, PDMS, and experience with IFS or similar systems
