JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now expanding the number of family therapists in the Resource Team! Are you a social worker or do you have another professional/university education that the employer assesses as equivalent with experience in social treatment work and want to have an exciting and rewarding job with children/youth and their families? Do you want to be part of a cross-professional team with driven and experienced colleagues who are passionate about their mission? Then you are welcome to apply for this position with us in the Resource Team.

The Individual and Family Care (IFO) is divided into three units: the Investigation Unit, the Housing Unit, and the Support and Treatment Unit. At Älvan, Ängelholm Municipality's treatment unit for children aged 0-18, there are currently 12 knowledgeable and driven family therapists divided into two groups, the Resource Team and the Family Group.

The Resource Team is the part of our treatment operations where high-intensity psychosocial treatment work is conducted in families with children and youth who are often close to placement and have complex family issues. This may include relational problems, violence, substance abuse, and/or neglect. Various functional variations are commonly present. The work is primarily conducted during the day, mainly in the family's home environment, where evening and weekend work may occur to meet a family's needs. The Resource Team's work mainly consists of conducting family therapy from a systemic perspective, with the individual's and family's needs at the center. To achieve good results, the alliance and the quality of the relationship between the family and the therapist are crucial.

The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues based on the needs of the specific assignment, as well as in close cooperation with the assigned social workers. Important in the change work is the collaboration that takes place with internal and external partners. Collegial support and case discussions are a given working method where the group also has external supervision.

Does this sound like an exciting assignment where you can utilize your previous experience in treatment work? Welcome with your application!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained social worker or have another professional/university education that the employer assesses as equivalent. We see that you have many years of experience in psychosocial treatment work with families. We wish that you work from a systems theory basis, a salutogenic approach, have good knowledge of child development and attachment theory, as well as experience in making developmental assessments and interaction observations. We also prefer that you have relevant further education in methods aimed at the target group, e.g., MI, Marte Meo, Circle of Security, and PYC, as well as experience working with functional variations, violence in close relationships, and substance abuse issues.

As the work targets individuals in vulnerable situations, it is important that you have a working method that creates trust and confidence. You need to be clear, have good communication skills, a well-developed ability to collaborate, and an unpretentious approach. You need to be a stable and humble person who is confident in your competence and has the ability to adapt methods and working methods based on needs. For us, it is important that you are flexible, a person who sees opportunities and has a good ability to work structured towards set goals. You have good documentation and computer skills. A driver's license is required. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
