At Anpassa, we are looking for childcare staff for our TUFF internat, where we offer a unique opportunity to work with children in a multilingual and sign language environment. During week 26 (in Höllviken), you will be part of our dedicated team. Preparations will take place during week 24 in central Malmö.

As childcare staff, you will work with children of varying ages and needs. You will contribute to an inclusive environment where we encourage the use of Swedish sign language. Through fun and engaging activities, we strive to provide each child with a meaningful and developmental experience.

Our TUFF internat is a mission from SPSM (the Swedish Agency for Special Needs Education and Schools), where we organize sign language courses for parents while creating a safe and positive environment for their children. This mission is part of a larger initiative, and we plan to continue organizing similar internats and courses regularly in the future. Job Responsibilities

As childcare staff, you will:

• Care for children of varying ages and with different needs, in a multilingual and sign language environment.
• Create a safe and inclusive environment where children can develop according to their own conditions.
• Encourage the use of Swedish sign language where relevant, while creating activities that engage all children, regardless of communication methods.
• Plan and implement exciting and fun activities that suit the individual needs and conditions of the children.
• Work with a diverse group of children, some communicating with signs, others with speech or other forms of expression.

You thrive in a team, are communicative, and approach both children and colleagues with clarity and empathy. With patience and understanding, you provide children with the security they need to develop at their own pace. You ensure that every child feels seen and included in the activities, contributing to their well-being and development.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children, preferably with disabilities.
• Patience and flexibility in working with children who communicate in different ways, including signs and other forms of expression.
• A criminal record extract (required for anyone working with children).

Meritorious:

• Experience leading children's groups and planning activities.
• Knowledge of Swedish sign language.
• Pedagogical education or other relevant training/experience that enhances your ability to work with children of different ages and needs.
• Experience working in multilingual and inclusive environments.

Working hours

The internat takes place in week 26 in Höllviken, with preparations during week 24 in central Malmö. During these two weeks, you will work full-time/daytime (8-hour workday). Travel compensation is provided from the place of employment in Malmö.
