About the position
We are looking for someone who wants to work with us to contribute to good public health, create opportunities for magical moments for our guests, build security, and a social meeting place.

The main mission of the swimming facilities is to increase swimming proficiency, where school swimming, based on the school's knowledge goals, provides all children with support in learning to swim. Being able to swim increases safety, creates more opportunities, and enhances quality of life. As a swimming attendant with us, you are a trained swimming instructor and teach during school swimming and lead swimming schools for both children and adults.

The position involves working in a team with circulation duties. The work schedule includes day, evening, and weekend hours.

The position will be filled at a facility (indoor or outdoor swimming pool) according to the applicable season at the start date.

Job description
As a swimming attendant, you work to create opportunities for a healthy lifestyle, development, social interaction, and great experiences for our guests. The work is characterized by a good and inclusive approach and excellent service to everyone. Among the tasks are preventive safety work at the facility, leading swimming lessons, water aerobics, and other activities, handling the cash register and café, and maintaining cleanliness.

The employment involves working at Hallstavik outdoor swimming pool during the summer. There may also be opportunities to work at the municipality's other swimming facilities.

Qualifications
Requirements:

• Knowledge requirements in swimming and lifeguarding corresponding to SLS Gold Bojen. A swimming test will be conducted before employment.
• At least 18 years old
• Experience in service occupations
• Familiarity with teamwork/group work

Meritorious:

• Experience working at swimming facilities
• Swimming instructor training
• Pool lifeguard training
• Water aerobics leader

About the workplace
Hallstavik swimming pool is the municipality's newest swimming facility (opened in 2020) with a 25-meter swimming pool, 4 lanes, and an adjoining teaching area. There is a small children's pool and a café with a limited selection. The swimming pool is open Tuesday to Sunday from September to May, with exceptions during school holidays and public holidays. When the swimming pool closes, operations and staff move to the adjacent outdoor swimming pool.

Hallstavik outdoor swimming pool is a summer gem for both residents and summer guests. The pool has a 25-meter swimming pool, 4 lanes, with an adjoining play area, bubbles, a diving pool, climbing wall, and slide. There are showers and saunas, as well as large areas for sunbathing, playgrounds, beach volleyball, table tennis, and a café.

Employment form
The position is a permanent part-time employment at 78.43% (average 30 hours/week)

A probationary period may be applied.

Start date is 2025-06-02 or according to agreement.

Selection work and interviews will be conducted continuously during the advertising period.
