The Stockholm West area in the picturesque Ekerö municipality includes the open prison Svartsjö and the partially open women's prison Färingsö, as well as the remand center Färingsö. About 170 employees and ten managers manage, lead, and develop the operations that accommodate approximately 270 inmates. The largest professional group is prison officers, but there are also healthcare professionals, administrative staff, educators, production leaders, etc. The inmates are engaged in education, various treatment programs, or wood and craft industry and packaging/assembly. The inmates also run an ecological farm with grain cultivation and animal husbandry. The two prisons are a stone's throw from each other and can be reached by bus or car. At both prisons, you can park for free in our staff parking.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a store administrator at Svartsjö Prison, you will be an important support function for the rest of the operations. You will have a special responsibility for the clients' inventory, where clients' clothes and other belongings are taken care of and stored during the execution period. The tasks are varied; you will work partly with administration but also have physical work as you receive deliveries, consumables, etc. Furthermore, you will work closely with the same function at Färingsö Prison, a few minutes away, which means that you sometimes cover for or assist each other.
Your tasks will include purchasing coordination, administration, and decision-making (primarily concerning possession and confiscation of prohibited items). You will handle invoices, laundry, orders, receipt and delivery of items, loss reporting, and ordering and registering items in the inventory system. Furthermore, you will also be responsible for receiving and checking goods coming to/from the remand center's inventory, managing staff uniforms, and ensuring cleanliness and structure in the work area and inventory. This position also includes client contact for those clients who are employed in the client and laundry inventory, as well as registering their wages.

We are looking for someone who is structured and likes to keep order. You have strong collaboration skills and can relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner, as well as being clear in your communication. It is also important that you take personal responsibility and can work independently and be flexible when circumstances change. Seeing opportunities in changes is essential.
For us, it is important that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in the individual's will and ability to develop. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute to ensuring that everyone is treated equally through your approach. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Completed upper secondary education or other education in combination with work experience.
