Security Specialist at the Inspectorate for Strategic Products (ISP)

The Inspectorate for Strategic Products (ISP) is now looking for a security specialist to be placed at the Unit for Operational Support and the IT and Security Group.
Job Description
As a security specialist at ISP, you will work closely with the agency's security officer and security protection manager in the diverse work of coordinating and enhancing security across the agency. You will plan, analyze, follow up, and improve the systematic security work. You will develop and implement routines, instructions, and action plans regarding security. You will independently conduct security interviews and participate in the execution of security protection controls. The work involves collaboration with ISP's units and other authorities as well as development work regarding the agency's IT security.
Qualifications
- Relevant higher education or other training combined with work experience deemed relevant by the employer
- Current, relevant, and several years of experience in handling security issues
- Current, relevant, and several years of experience in security clearance interviews
- Good knowledge of and experience with the Security Protection Act
- Good ability to process and analyze security threats and propose relevant measures
- Good knowledge of the Office suite
- Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
- Completed security training or equivalent deemed comparable by the employer
Meritorious
- Experience leading security investigations and confidentiality assessments
- Knowledge of the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, the Protection Act, and the Security Protection Act and their compliance
- Experience working with crisis and continuity issues
- Knowledge of physical security
- Experience handling security issues in a government agency or public sector
We are looking for someone with a good ability to plan, execute, and complete tasks/projects. You enjoy working both independently and in a team. You are security-conscious and have the ability to create and maintain trust. You have good analytical skills and can deliver within set deadlines without compromising accuracy. ISP places great importance on personal qualities.
The position is a permanent employment, and ISP applies a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.
To work at ISP, Swedish citizenship is required. The position is classified in a security class, and a security clearance with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. The employment includes an obligation to be placed in a war situation.
The Group
As a security specialist, you will be placed in the Unit for Operational Support, in the IT and Security Group. The unit also includes the Legal and Supervision Group and the group for Personnel, Finance, Administration, and Communication. The unit has a wide range of competencies in areas such as IT and security, finance, HR, archives, registration, internal services, communication, procurement, law, and administration.
About the Inspectorate for Strategic Products (ISP)
ISP is a government agency with a mandate in Swedish foreign, defense, and security policy. The agency is the licensing and supervisory authority regarding military equipment and dual-use products and the national authority for the Chemical Weapons Convention. ISP has a mandate as a national contact point for information exchange in the EU regarding foreign direct investments and is also tasked with reviewing foreign direct investments in sensitive areas. Furthermore, ISP handles targeted sanctions and participates in international cooperation and provides support and assistance to the Government Offices in specified areas.
