Vattenfall Hydropower is responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and approximately 300 dams in the Nordic region. We have about 500 employees in Sweden and Finland with our headquarters in Luleå. The renewable electricity production from hydropower is a prerequisite for creating a climate-smart and fossil-free society where we play an important role as enablers for the sustainable energy systems of the future. Our production corresponds to approximately 25% of Sweden's total electricity needs. Do you want to work with safety issues in a critical societal operation?

Vattenfall Hydropower is now looking for a new colleague to our security department! With us, you will have a central role in protecting and strengthening safety within the hydropower operations - an operation that is crucial for Sweden's energy supply.

You will be part of a friendly and helpful team that works to ensure that our safety routines meet the highest standards. We handle, among other things, security protection agreements (SUA), security assessments, access administration, and data protection issues (GDPR). We operate from several locations in Sweden, and this position is based in Luleå, Umeå, or Solna.

In your role as a security officer, you will contribute to setting the framework for our compliance with the Security Protection Act and the Data Protection Regulation, as well as to the practical implementation in the operations.

You will work with:

• Conducting security protection assessments
• Eligibility assessments of suppliers and subcontractors
• Signing and managing security protection agreements and security protection arrangements
• Follow-up controls of security protection agreements
• Development and management of instructions and routines related to applicable legal requirements
• Interpretation and implementation of new requirements in hydropower's processes and working methods
• Security protection and data protection issues (GDPR).

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in security issues and a good ability to combine regulations with reality. You have work experience in areas such as security protection, security protection agreements, and the application of security protection legislation. It is advantageous if you have also worked with data protection issues and within the energy sector. You have post-secondary education in security, or you have acquired equivalent competence through relevant work experience.

As a person, you are organized, communicative, and have a proactive working style. It is natural for you to take responsibility for planning and creating progress in your assignments. You feel comfortable switching and prioritizing between different types of tasks. Even though some tasks are performed individually, you believe that complex questions and problems are often solved better through collaboration.

As a security officer, it is important that you act in accordance with decisions made and are accommodating with high integrity. The work involves many contacts, and you need to have good knowledge of both Swedish and English (spoken and written). Travel may occur, and you have a B driver's license.
