About the Role

As a security guard, your primary task is to deliver safety at our clients' locations. You do this, for example, in a monitoring center or at an access control point. As a security guard, you have greater authority than a regular guard and often work closely with our clients' staff on objects that are crucial to Sweden's security.

The work is independent and often feels free, but comes with significant responsibility.

The tasks are highly varied, and as a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, at night or during the day. The length of shifts varies, but they are often scheduled in 12-hour shifts. Since we operate every day of the year, working every other weekend is common.

You will, for example:

• Handle matters within your assignment area
• Ensure that no unauthorized persons have access to the objects
• Staff stationary objects as needed

Requirements

Mandatory

• Swedish citizenship
• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• B driver's license

Preferred if you

• have previously worked with similar tasks
• have professional experience from the security industry
• have a complete security guard training
• have a civilian or military security guard training

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized, and can handle periods of high work pace. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. We see that you as an applicant are an independent person who trusts your own abilities, quickly understands problems, and solves them creatively. For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, you must have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (this application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to the respective legislation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns compliance with the law, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities.
