Sweden's Riksbank is looking for a Monitoring Operator for the Alarm Center

As a monitoring operator, you will be part of the operational security work and will be offered a solid foundational knowledge of security work within the unit and the authority overall. We provide excellent opportunities for you to develop and expand your skills in the security field.

WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US

  • Camera monitoring
  • Alarm management
  • Management of minute operational situational awareness and supervision of security guards
  • Sizing and follow-up of security guard deliveries

You will be responsible for and participate in larger planned events where the alarm center's efforts are required. The role is partially administrative, including reviewing access procedures, establishing and updating instructions and routines. You will also be responsible for receiving incoming calls via switchboard telephony. In addition to the above tasks, you will participate in other projects based on the needs of the organization.

YOUR TEAM

The Riksbank consists of nine departments. The security unit consists of two groups and belongs to the department for internal governance and operational support. Here you can read more about the Riksbank's organization.

The operational security group is responsible for physical security, which includes alarms and locks, the alarm center, personnel monitoring, personal protection, and protected transports. The group consists of monitoring operators, security coordinators, and telecommunications engineers. In addition to colleagues, the group is supported by hired security and monitoring consultants. These include competencies in areas such as security technology, monitoring, personal protection, and service technicians.

As a monitoring operator, you will have daily interactions with these consultants. Additionally, you will work in areas that require contact with external partners and other authorities.

MORE ABOUT YOU

You have relevant academic education or other training/experience that the employer assesses as relevant based on the given tasks. We are looking for someone with experience in working with service in a fast-paced environment. You have an aptitude for working with technical systems and an understanding of technical solutions. Furthermore, it is also a requirement for the position that you have excellent language skills in Swedish and English, as well as a Swedish driving license with B-category. It is an advantage if you have experience in tasks that require a high level of security awareness.

Working in the alarm center requires a high level of responsibility, meaning you take significant personal responsibility for your tasks. You adhere to the routines and instructions that apply to operate with good operational capability and take initiative and make decisions when required. Since you will be in contact with many different types of people in your work, it is essential that you have a good sense of service and possess excellent collaboration skills. It is also important that you are solution-oriented and resilient to stress.

Employment type: Permanent employment, probationary period applies
Location: Head office Brunkebergstorg Stockholm
Working hours: Fixed working hours 7-16
Possibility to work remotely: No

The position may be classified in a security class, and a security clearance including background checks, security clearance interviews, and special personal investigations will be conducted for the final candidate. For some positions, Swedish citizenship is required.
