Together with an experienced team, you will create solutions that leave an impact – both today and in the future.
About the Position
As a service leader, you will have a supervisory responsibility to provide airworthy aircraft with or without test installations. You will work on monitoring and planning as well as leading and distributing tasks within maintenance and service. The role also involves supporting the section manager with other tasks related to the personnel in the section.
The position is located in Linköping.
About You
You have a basic aircraft technician education Cat B1 and MGSS training as well as military modules. You hold a valid civilian or military aircraft technician certificate (SE-EMAR 66) category B1 and have at least two years as a certified and authorized technician on JAS39. You easily understand technical publications in Swedish and English, and you have a B driver's license. You also need to have an approved health examination (which will be conducted) for work with thermosetting plastics.
It is advantageous to have training on the FENIX system and/or IFTEX as well as previous experience working with MGSS and airborne armament. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of the Armed Forces' operations, working methods, and materials. We also see an advantage if you have previous experience in a leadership position.
Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences and are looking for someone who is calm, stable, and controlled even in stressful situations. You collaborate well with others and can relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. You are structured, meticulous, and make correct priorities and assessments. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes.
FMV – The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration
At FMV, you contribute to making Sweden and the world safer. We are tasked with providing the Swedish Armed Forces with the latest technology and knowledge so that they can defend our country and our allies. Together with competent and committed colleagues, you will be involved in developing and procuring what sometimes does not yet exist. You drive development all the way from need to delivery. From idea to reality.
You will work in our area of operations for testing and evaluation (T&E), which is responsible for verifying and validating the material that FMV delivers to the Armed Forces. This means checking that FMV has received what was ordered and that the system can be used as intended.
T&E Air has this responsibility within the air arena. The operation is based on the verification and validation of aviation-related products, primarily on military platforms such as Gripen and helicopters. The goal of the operation is to clearly and structurally support the rest of FMV with subject-specific expertise within VoV. T&E Air should also have the competence to lead VoV operations.
