The Gothenburg Primary School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, cultural school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who work together to develop and take care of the operations - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you an engaged teacher who is attentive and flexible in your interactions with students both in teaching and during breaks? Are you also a certified teacher/special teacher qualified to teach grades 4-6? Then read on!

We are looking for a teacher/special teacher for our special education group for grades 4-6. Close to the students, a team of special teachers, teachers, and teaching assistants works together.

You will be responsible for teaching and organizing lessons for our students. Together, the team ensures that the student's entire school day is educational. You will be a mentor for some students and responsible for communication with guardians and documentation. You will do everything to support and guide our students. You will evaluate your teaching, follow current research, have good knowledge of teaching materials, differentiated instruction, and methods for guiding conversations. You will collaborate with professionals within the student health team.

Our work is characterized by dedicated staff who provide students with opportunities and conditions to develop and be challenged in their learning. We work for an open, developing, and pleasant work community with a focus on student learning and learning environments. We value relationship and communication skills. Since the school year 24/25, we have invested in developing our teaching and school culture through subject didactic collegium (ÄDK). Together, we develop teachers' teaching for students' learning. By working for good collaboration and communication with guardians, we take joint responsibility for creating conditions for students' learning.

Påvelund School has approximately 1,140 students in grades F-9. In the unit for grades F-6, there are about 500 students. The school consists of four school buildings, one of which is newly built, and the others renovated with facilities adapted to meet students' needs and provide conditions for safety and study peace. Our goal is for Påvelund School to be an equitable school where students and staff thrive, learn, and develop.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal Competencies:

We are looking for you who are a teacher/special teacher with previous experience working with teaching, both in groups and individually. You are also a qualified teacher to teach grades 4-6 in Swedish, mathematics, and English. It is an advantage if you are also qualified to teach in social studies (SO).

You have knowledge and understanding of students with vulnerabilities within NPF.

As a person, you have the ability to create good relationships and meet students and colleagues based on different circumstances and needs.
