About the position

I am a 13-year-old girl with multiple disabilities and an intellectual disability. This means that I do not communicate verbally or in writing and have limited ability to control my arms and legs. Therefore, I am looking for someone who wants to help me with that!

On weekdays, I go to school between 7:30 AM and 2:00 PM and sometimes continue to after-school care until 4:00 PM. I think school is really fun because I get to practice my motor skills and do a lot of fun things! In the morning, I need help getting ready, and when I come home, I enjoy singing to music, watching movies, playing games, or just relaxing – depending on how I feel that day.

On weekends, we usually go on outings together as a family. We go to the theater, cinema, swimming pool, or come up with other fun activities. Therefore, it is an advantage if you are flexible and enjoy both spontaneous and planned adventures!

Who are you?

You who are applying for the position are a cheerful and engaged person who dares to take initiative. My everyday life often includes new people, animals, and nature – something you should feel comfortable with.

We would like you to have previous experience in care and support, as it helps you quickly get into the job.

Requirements for the position

- You must not be allergic or afraid of animals - You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written (as I have a hearing impairment)

Working hours & scope

We are looking for two assistants for a shared position where the work alternates every other week, with one working 20 hours one week and being off the next.

One assistant works 20 hours during odd weeks (for example, week 1, 3, 5, etc.), while the other works 20 hours during even weeks (for example, week 2, 4, 6, etc.). The work is scheduled both during the day, evening, night with waiting time, and weekends.

Salary & conditions

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement. Other compensations according to collective agreement.

Start date: According to agreement, but preferably as soon as possible. We apply a fixed-term employment form "as long as the assignment lasts" and hourly employment. A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that prove the right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

Order extract According to law (2010:479), regarding background checks of staff who will perform certain services for children with disabilities, we as employers are required to request a background extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years of age.

The background extract must be submitted to us as the employer before starting employment.
