Today, Särnmark has over 3500 employees, and our customers and staff are located all over Sweden. Särnmark's headquarters is in Sundbyberg, but we also have offices in Uppsala, Gävle, Malmö, Linköping, Kinna, Uddevalla, Gothenburg, Karlstad, and Visby.

We are now looking for new employees as one of my assistants must leave unexpectedly, but also substitutes. One requirement is that you have a driver's license as you will be driving my car when I go to work. You do not need to have access to your own car as you can take public transport to my home.

I am a man who is spinal cord injured after an accident and paralyzed from the shoulders down, but I do have some mobility in my left arm. I need help with my daily life, for example:

• Dressing and undressing
• Transfers
• Toilet visits
• Hygiene, all aspects
• Training/stretching according to schedule
• Eating/being fed

I work Monday to Friday as a biology teacher at SLU and need help opening doors, getting me settled at my desk, and arranging all aids so that I can perform my work. I may also need help retrieving and flipping through books/papers. When I lecture, I need your help to get the equipment started (according to my instructions) and to assist me in changing the PowerPoint slide (one button press). Travel in service with associated overnight stays occurs a couple of times a year, and of course, you as an assistant will accompany me on these occasions.

At home, you will help me perform my share of household chores such as washing dishes, cleaning, etc. One of my greatest interests is my garden, so if you enjoy being outdoors, this assignment will suit you. During the summer months, you will help me with sowing, weeding, planting, trimming, watering, etc. In winter, you will perform my share of sanding and snow shoveling, so it is good if you have good physical fitness.

The following requirements apply to you as an applicant:

• 25 years or older
• Driver's license and good experience driving a car
• Very good Swedish in speech and writing as you need to understand my instructions.
• You are smoke-free (exceptions can be made if it does not affect me regarding accessibility and smoke odor)
• You are not allergic to cats (a cat is present in the home)
• You are not allergic to grass (due to my great interest in gardening, we are outdoors quite a bit)
• Experience in a care-related profession is desirable but not a requirement.

Work shifts: The shifts are scheduled as 24-hour shifts, meaning you start at 08:00 and end at 08:15 the following day; all shifts from Monday to Sunday look the same. You will work every other weekend. At night, there are 5.5 hours of on-call duty, during which you as an assistant sleep in your own bedroom.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to prove that you have a permanent residence permit in Sweden to be able to be employed by Särnmark.
