About us

Gredelby LSS is a service residence consisting of eight apartments and several common areas. The residence is located near Knivsta center with shops, restaurants, and Knivsta station within comfortable walking distance. The surrounding area also has natural areas with outdoor trails and a swimming area. From Knivsta station, you can reach central Uppsala in 10 minutes and Stockholm central in 30 minutes.

About the position

As a housing supporter, you provide support and service based on assistance decisions. All employees have the task of being the contact person for one or more residents. The assignment includes, among other things, working together with the individual and/or representative to establish an implementation plan for how and when support will be provided, as well as how we work together to achieve set goals and sub-goals.

Your main tasks consist of creating and maintaining a close, professional relationship with the residents to provide individually tailored support in the form of structure, planning, reminders, and motivational work. The purpose is to enable good living conditions for each individual. An important part of relationship building and promoting participation in society is to plan, implement, and follow up on both joint and individual activities that are perceived as fun and meaningful.

The work also includes service tasks such as cleaning, shopping, laundry, and cooking. Delegated health and medical care tasks are also included. You are responsible for maintaining good contact with licensed personnel as well as with other important actors for the individual, such as social services, daily activities, and habilitation.

Since the residents need structure and predictability, it is important that you have knowledge and experience of clarifying pedagogy. As challenging behaviors may occur, it is also required that you can work based on a low-arousal approach. What do you get?

The position is a temporary contract until 2025-05-31, or by agreement. The employment rate is approximately 85–90%. Working hours are scheduled for evenings, every other weekend, and some daytime.

Who are you?

To thrive and succeed in the role, you are good at creating and maintaining good relationships. You like structure, order, and predictability. As a person, you are meticulous, self-driven, and not afraid to take on new tasks.

For this position, the following is required:

• Upper secondary education in social work, care, or pedagogy 
• Computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written (documentation is an important part of the work)
• Experience and knowledge of the target group, primarily individuals with high-functioning autism
• Driving license B

Meritorious:

• Post-secondary education in social work, behavioral science, or pedagogy
• Experience working in a service residence
• Interest in training, TV/computer games, or strategy games
