Do you want to work in a role where you support the unit manager in ensuring that the work complies with legislation and lead engaged social workers in the processing of cases? We are now looking for two team leaders with a degree in social work and experience in public authority operations and work within social services in the Child and Youth Authority department. The Child and Youth Unit 5 has been assigned a task that involves close collaboration with youth emergency services, leisure, schools, and the police. The task also includes developing work with children and youth at risk of exclusion, drugs, and crime. The unit is led by a unit manager and two team leaders who provide everyday support.

The reception unit is a competent and secure workgroup consisting of about 20 employees whose task is to register, make preliminary assessments, and provide advice, support, and information to the public and professionals. Our work is largely guided by incoming cases and what happens during the day. The unit is led by a unit manager and two team leaders. Our offices are centrally located at Svartbäcksgatan 44 in Uppsala. Together, we strive for a team-based working method characterized by collegial support, learning, shared responsibility, and a positive internal culture.

Your Mission

Your work includes supporting the unit manager in ensuring that the authority's work at the unit complies with legislation, delegation orders, agreements, and governing documents, leading in individual cases, and making decisions according to the delegation order, supporting employees in the processing of cases, implementing and developing decided working methods within the administration, as well as onboarding new employees. It also includes being a presenter in individual committees and courts. As a team leader, you provide everyday support for your caseworkers, which requires you to have a present and accessible leadership style.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, several years of experience in public authority operations, and work within social services. If you have training in BBIC, Signs of Safety, or SAVRY, this is considered an asset. We prefer candidates with experience in public authority work with children and youth. The work requires knowledge of Lifecare. It is an advantage if you are accustomed to working in various data systems and are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is also advantageous if you have a B driver's license.

As a person, you are clear and ensure that your messages are conveyed correctly. You take initiative and start activities to achieve results. Furthermore, you are a communicative person who finds it easy to listen and adapt your communication style. Last but not least, you have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner.
