The Role of Personal Assistant

As a personal assistant, you represent Hela Sveriges Assistans. In this role, you will complete an online training course on what it is like to work as a personal assistant. Together with the client and your colleagues, you will strive for good quality and adhere to the company's values and policies.

As a personal assistant, you are responsible for receiving information sent out by the head office and, if necessary, seeking information available on the website. For other questions, you should contact your supervisor or the head office.

About the Position

Personal assistants are sought for a woman with reduced mobility living in central Stockholm. The client's interests include cooking, interior design, and flowers, plants, and gardening.

She occasionally spends the summer at her beautiful country house in Roslagen, Norrtälje. Staff have their own bedroom there. Good bus connections are available, with a bus stop within walking distance.

The work is scheduled for daytime and evening hours. You have great opportunities to influence and tailor your own schedule according to your needs and preferences.

The tasks vary widely and include:

• Personal care
• Household management
• Delegation from healthcare personnel
• Assisting the client with activities inside and outside the home

About You

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and maturity. No prior experience in personal assistance is required. Before starting the position, you will undergo an introductory session where an experienced assistant will explain and demonstrate everything you need to know.

What Does the Work Schedule Look Like?

Day shift 07:30 - 16:00

Afternoon/evening shift 15:30 - 22:30

Who is the Supervisor?

One of the assistants in the assignment is also the supervisor. In daily work, there are job descriptions and routines to follow, and what we do beyond that during the day is guided by the day's condition, wishes, and needs.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written). This refers to the nature of the disability.

Meritorious

- Driver's license (B) and own car

Before we offer employment, you must present an unopened extract/digital mailbox from the police's criminal record. We also request a valid Swedish work permit, such as a passport or an approved work permit from the Migration Agency.

We train our employees to ensure the quality of personal assistance. All our new hires complete an online introductory training for personal assistants before their first work shift, or no later than one month after starting employment.
