In order for houses, bridges, and roads to be built, knowledge of Sweden's geography and properties is needed. By mapping reality and providing current information about the country's topography and infrastructure, you contribute to the foundation for a sustainable and functioning society.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Geodata is one of several areas of operation at Lantmäteriet, whose mission is to build, further develop, and manage geographic and property information and to be responsible for providing that information.

At Lantmäteriet, you will have a unique opportunity to become an expert in the future's legal field regarding basic data, which is a prerequisite for the digitization of public administration. As a lawyer at Lantmäteriet, you will closely follow the development of digitization, be involved in solving qualified legal challenges where there are not always given answers, and contribute to the legal development of this new and exciting area of law. Together with other authorities and private actors, we create a modern digital infrastructure for the society's basic data consisting of property information and geographic information (geodata).

With us, you will have a stimulating position with engaged colleagues where you work closely with operations. You collaborate internally and externally; law is an integrated part of our business development. Your responsibilities include providing legal support within the various functions of the organization that deal with collecting geodata using modern technology and providing it securely and efficiently to society via national digital services.

We operate in several different areas of law that concern both public and private law, including IT law, intellectual property law, competition law, contract law, transparency and confidentiality, and administrative law.

As a lawyer with us, you will conduct legal investigations on behalf of Geodata's various operational branches. You will also proactively support with legal expertise in preparations and in the implementation of various development and collaboration projects. Furthermore, it includes drafting agency regulations and responding to referrals, reviewing contracts, and processing cases according to, among other things, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act and registration regulations.

We offer you a position at one of our offices. Regular travel in the service occurs.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a law degree from a law program or equivalent education. You have worked for a few years in the public sector within the area of community building with qualified legal work in one of the following areas: administrative law, contract law, transparency and confidentiality, IT law including data protection.

It is an advantage to have several years of practical experience in the Geodata area as well as experience working with strategic legal investigations and regulatory development.

For the position, it is important that you are collaborative and adapt to find common solutions through an unpretentious focus on the common goal. You are also analytical and can solve problems without missing long-term strategies, and see logic and connections in complex information or environments. You have the ability to see the whole picture, think proactively, see opportunities, and take the initiative to find solutions in dialogue with the supported operations. You have the ability to create new and sustainable relationships.

The position is security classified, which means you must be a Swedish citizen and that a security review with an accompanying security interview will be conducted in connection with employment.

Lantmäteriet is a preparedness authority, and as an employee, you may be placed in a war position at the authority.
