About the Position

As the coordinator, you have an overarching responsibility to build and develop structures within preventive work to increase safety and attendance in schools.

The position involves driving and following up on the coordinated work between School Social Teams, SSPF (Collaboration School, Social Services, Police, and Leisure) and BoB (Children and Youth in Organized Crime). School Social Teams are a way for schools and social services to work together to strengthen the conditions for students to achieve educational goals, create a calm and safe school environment, increase student attendance, and provide support to break an unfavorable development. As a coordinator, you report to the head of the support and care department.

Responsibilities and Tasks

You will act as a central player to ensure effective collaboration between stakeholders and strengthen support measures for children and youth at risk. The role is broad both strategically and operationally and will include:

• Driving and following up on the coordinated work within School Social Teams, SSPF, and BoB.
• Developing and implementing structures for preventive work.
• Creating and maintaining collaboration between schools, social services, police, leisure activities, and civil society.
• Leading meetings and coordinating efforts for children and youth in need of support.
• Supporting and guiding collaboration actors in work with safety-enhancing and attendance-promoting measures.
• Documenting and following up on efforts and evaluating the effects of preventive work.
• Contributing to method development and implementation of evidence-based methods.
• Informing and educating collaboration actors about relevant methods and working methods.

Qualifications

A degree in social work, sociology, behavioral science, or another relevant academic education deemed equivalent by the employer is required.

At least 5 years of documented experience working with children and youth, preferably within social services, schools, or leisure activities is required.

Meritorious

You have experience or a strong understanding of authority exercise. Experience of collaboration between different actors in the public sector and civil society, as well as experience working with civil society and/or associations, is also meritorious.

Personal Qualities

You are structured, proactive, and flexible in your work. You have good collaboration skills while being able to work independently and take responsibility for your own projects. Furthermore, you are communicative and have the ability to create alliances with children, youth, parents, and collaboration partners.
