Tullverket's IT Department is Hiring an IT Technician
Tullverket's IT department in Luleå is looking for an engaged and service-oriented IT technician for the support unit.
Do you want to become our new colleague and have the opportunity to contribute to a safer society while enjoying a fun and developing job?
We are looking for someone with at least one year of experience in support or similar work acquired within the last five years, as well as an interest in information security. Being able to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English is something that comes naturally to you.
It is advantageous if you have a high school education in IT, technology, or equivalent that we assess to be comparable/relevant, or if you have post-secondary education in data/IT or similar, have worked with information security and analysis, or troubleshooting network communication, e.g., through work in a NOC/SOC or IT support, or if you have experience in operations monitoring, alarm management, and access administration.
We Offer
An exciting and stimulating job with good development opportunities. Tullverket is a recognized friendly workplace where we highly value well-being and culture – having fun at work is a success factor. Tullverket has an important mission in society, and we offer an exciting and stimulating job with good development and training opportunities. By working at Tullverket, you contribute to a safe and secure society.
In this role, you will be part of the IT support unit with 13 employees. We work for Tullverket's employees and the authority's customers, such as businesses and suppliers.
We are the contact point for user support, fault reporting, and troubleshooting of technical infrastructure/operational environments, all IT systems, and client services such as computers, printers, and mobile phones. A large part of the work involves monitoring all of Tullverket's IT systems and operational environments, along with alarm management and monitoring of security logs. We establish and publish internal/external operational information and IT guides for users. Access administration is also a task. Participation in assignments or projects may also occur, where you represent IT support.
The work is done in shifts, around the clock, every day of the year, which means you must be able to work uncomfortable hours and alone during e.g., evenings/nights and weekends. This requires that you can reach the workplace at times when public transportation is not available. Training takes place during the day for about 4-6 months before shift work begins.
Personal Qualities
You will be part of a smaller workgroup, which requires you to collaborate easily, contribute to the group's development, help your colleagues, and share responsibility for the daily work.
You have a very good sense of service via phone and email, and you can act flexibly and quickly as the operations are highly event-driven.
You are a team player who supports your colleagues and actively contributes to a good work environment, while also not hesitating to take the lead when necessary and have the ability to make your own decisions, in consultation with your colleagues if needed.
The tasks require accuracy, an interest in problem-solving, the ability to assimilate a lot of information, and a strong understanding of the high demands for security and confidentiality. You are also expected to have a good ability to document cases, routines, and explanatory texts.
We place great importance on your personal qualities and suitability for the role.
