Do you want to help develop and manage IT/OT solutions that are crucial for Sweden's future energy supply? Vattenfall Hydropower is now looking for a system engineer for our team focused on operational and process-related IT/OT environments.

As a system engineer for IT/OT infrastructure, you will primarily work with Vattenfall Hydropower's operational IT/OT infrastructure. This often means you will work "hands on" with both hardware and software.

This involves everything from troubleshooting and making changes in existing environments to building and configuring new solutions. Part of the job includes troubleshooting in distributed IT environments with a large geographical spread. We often work "remotely" and guide technicians to take actions on-site.

You will be part of a close-knit team of ten people where we work closely together in a helpful and open culture. IT security is a central part of everything we do, and we are looking for someone with a high security awareness who is curious about being at the forefront of technology.

Requirements

For the position of system engineer in IT/OT infrastructure, we expect you to have:

• Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent experience and training
• At least a couple of years of experience in the operation/maintenance of IT systems, preferably within data center/server operations.

In addition, you have experience in one of the following areas:

• Server operations, storage solutions, and backup
• Operating systems - Linux, Windows Server
• Directory services - LDAP, Microsoft Active Directory
• Virtualization platforms, such as VMware, KVM.

Our IT/OT systems are often part of so-called industrial control systems (ICS) where the systems both control and monitor facilities. Experience working in environments with industrial IT systems is therefore an advantage.

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and who is a helpful problem solver. You are eager to contribute your previous experiences and new ideas to the group. The ability to work both independently and in a team is important, as you will have some collaborations, especially within our company.

You speak and write both Swedish and English. After introduction, system readiness may be part of the job. Travel is required, and you have a valid driver's license (B).
