The school is centrally located in Smedby and is easily accessible with good transport links. The school is nestled in beautiful nature with walking paths and no disturbing traffic. It is a well-established free school run by the foundation Language School in Upplands Väsby. Under the school's roof are English School, Swedish-Finnish School both with attached after-school care and Language School's preschool.

Job Description

You will teach profile English, the school's choice, in grades F-9 at the English School. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching based on applicable governing documents and legislation. You work closely with other educators, student health, school management, and other staff at the school. You actively participate in the school's development work, conferences, and other meetings. Together with your colleagues, you work to ensure that all students thrive and develop according to their abilities. You work with adjustments for students so that all students are given the conditions for high goal fulfillment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license with the authority to teach English. If you have qualifications in additional subjects, it is an advantage.

Since profile English is the school's choice, we are looking for someone who has English as their native language but also masters Swedish in speech and writing.

You prioritize students, learning objectives, and curiosity. At the Language School, we have a positive view of students, a solution-focused approach, a natural drive, and see new exciting opportunities in learning. You need to be a skilled relationship builder and have the ability to create team spirit and a genuine interest among both students and colleagues.
