About the Role

Do you want to use your experience and expertise to drive important issues within healthcare? At Vårdförbundet, we are looking for a senior investigator who can translate complex issues into concrete materials, memoranda, reports, and strategic support for management and the union president.

Your Responsibilities

• Draft and package messages in memoranda, materials, and reports
• Support management and the union president in formulating political and strategic positions
• Manage and drive the narrative within healthcare policy issues, in close collaboration with the unit
• Work independently and operationally to capture, analyze, and formulate healthcare policy issues
• Conduct environmental monitoring and quickly translate insights into relevant arguments and advocacy materials

Who Are You?

• Have a good understanding of healthcare policy and can quickly grasp the issues at hand
• Are concrete and concise in your written communication, without losing the strategic perspective
• You have an operational and driving role where you make things happen – while being flexible and thriving in a dynamic and complex environment where priorities can change rapidly.
• Can handle complex questions from a broad perspective and translate them into clear messages.
• Are structured, unpretentious, and drive work within your area of responsibility in close collaboration with the unit manager.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge

• Academic education in a relevant field
• Knowledge of the Swedish healthcare system
• Experience in analysis and investigative work
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish

Meritorious:

• It is an advantage if you have previously worked closely with the communications unit or in collaboration with media, PR, or advocacy work
• Knowledge in health economics and environmental analysis
• Experience working with surveys and external stakeholders
• Experience from the public sector or politically governed organization

In the unit for profession and care development, we are 11 colleagues tasked with following and influencing healthcare policy at both national and regional/local levels, based on the union's political positions, as well as creating and disseminating knowledge about healthcare, the union's four professions (midwives, biomedical analysts, radiology nurses, and nurses), and management and leadership in the field. The collective work contributes to the union's policy development, member communication, public opinion formation, and advocacy work.

Conditions and Contact

The position is a permanent employment with a start date to be agreed upon. A probationary period may apply.

Placement is in the unit for Profession and Care Development at Vårdförbundet's office in Stockholm. Other locations can be discussed.
