Your Role

Do you want to be part of developing one of the world's leading aircraft systems? This is done by taking a central role in integrating and installing mission systems in our aircraft.

At Special Mission Regional Aircraft, we develop and maintain Airborne Early Warning Systems (AEW), as well as maintain Saab's civil aircraft. The system installation team is responsible for integrating and installing the various systems and modifications that arise in the business.

With us, you have the opportunity to broaden your role and take on new responsibilities over time. You can move towards a leadership role or a technical leadership role. Additionally, there are several side tracks available in areas such as improvement work and innovation and technology development.

As a designer in system installation with us, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced technology while taking the next step in your personal development.

Your main tasks will include the development and definition of:

• Support structures
• Equipment racks
• Cabling and signal separation

You will collaborate and communicate with various disciplines such as basic aircraft systems, airframe construction, avionics and system developers, strength, weight and balance, production engineers, and assemblers. If necessary, there may also be contacts with subcontractors, partners, and customers.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, flexible, curious, and interested in technology. You will be part of a dynamic and professional team where collaboration and openness are central values. We appreciate a good spread of work experience within the group and are curious about those who have previous experience or are newly graduated in the field.

We would like you to have:

• An educational background as an engineer or from another relevant post-secondary education.
• Knowledge of software such as Catia V5, Capital Logic, PDM systems, and Microsoft Office.

Desirable:

• Pilot training or experience in the aviation industry.
• Work experience as a designer, developer, systems engineer, calculation engineer, or assembler.
