Fortifications Agency is looking for an Electrical Engineer

The Fortifications Agency is seeking an electrical engineer for the newly established design unit. Do you have several years of experience as a design electrical engineer for complex buildings and electrical installations and want to help shape the future construction projects that contribute to Sweden's defense capability? The headquarters of the Fortifications Agency is located in Eskilstuna, where the position will be based. The agency's mission is to meet the needs of the Armed Forces and other authorities for adapted properties. This means that we build, own, manage, and operate many different types of properties that our tenants use for their activities.

The design unit is in the process of being established and is part of the project department's organization responsible for construction investments at the Fortifications Agency. The design unit is now looking for several different competencies to perform the design of buildings and facilities in-house.

Your everyday life as an electrical engineer in an agency with complex projects

As an electrical engineer, you will work in a multidisciplinary team together with project managers, architects, designers, and installation specialists, providing your specialist expertise. The work consists of investigation, dimensioning, and design of complex electrical installations for both new construction and renovation projects. You will design various types of fortification buildings and facilities in a CAD environment with a strong focus on analytical work in the early stages together with other specialists.

Complementary tasks that support the implementation of investment projects may also occur, and in your role, you will have many internal and external contacts. Planned travel within Sweden will be included in the position. The position requires you to work on-site at the office in Eskilstuna.

What do you offer us?

We are looking for someone who is a trained electrical engineer or has other education and experience that we consider equivalent. You have extensive experience working in the construction industry with the design of electrical installations in buildings and are used to preparing documentation and drawings as well as working with industry-specific programs and applications such as MagiCAD for Revit and AutoCAD.

For the role, very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is required, as well as good knowledge of English. A Class B driver's license is a requirement.

Competence in fortification, defense areas, or other complex areas, as well as experience in CAD-based design of high and low voltage installations, is advantageous.
