Our organization

Montessori Preschool Jordgloben is a parent cooperative where development and learning are at the center. Jordgloben is located in the heart of Norrköping, close to parks and cultural life. We are a KRAV-certified preschool, and our chefs prepare meals from scratch. Jordgloben consists of four departments, two younger children's departments (about 12 children) and two older children's departments (about 20 children).

At Jordgloben, we work according to Maria Montessori's pedagogy and based on current governing documents, we plan our activities according to the children's interests and curiosity. The children's inner drive and independence are something we educators encourage, and with the help of the preschool app Tyra, we document the children's learning.

The role of educators is primarily to create conditions for children's learning and to support children in their development, based on each individual's developmental level.

Your role

You are responsible, together with your colleagues, for leading and developing the department's activities in line with the curriculum goals. Furthermore, you ensure that children's development and learning are documented, followed up, and analyzed with the help of Montessori pedagogy and the preschool app Tyra. You work on developing the learning environment and adapting it to the child group by following up and reflecting on the work of the organization.

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced childcare worker who has the ambition to develop in your professional role. It is advantageous if you have an interest in or are knowledgeable about Montessori pedagogy, as you are expected to use the approach in your work.

You take initiative, are engaged and creative. You are solution-oriented, good at facilitating dialogue, and you are genuinely curious about the profession and want to develop in your role. A natural part of your daily work is to work with goal fulfillment and to consider the overall goals of the preschool. Flexibility and the ability to collaborate characterize your working method.

As a person, we wish for you to be engaged, positive, present, and attentive.

It is also important that you can collaborate and create good relationships with children, colleagues, and guardians.

Job responsibilities: Your tasks are to plan, lead, and document the activities together with your colleagues and to be a present educator. You should continuously and systematically follow, document, and analyze each child's development and learning in accordance with the curriculum goals.

Qualifications: You who are a trained childcare worker and have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, are welcome to apply for this position. Early childhood education or Montessori education is an advantage.

Meritorious: You have experience working in a Montessori preschool, you have good social skills, you are solution-oriented, you want to be part of a team, drive the work forward, and are responsible. You also see digital tools as a natural part of your daily work.

Duration, working hours: Permanent employment. A probationary period applies. Employment degree can be discussed.

Start date: August 2025 or by agreement.
