We are looking for someone who loves working with people and actively wants to develop within the profession of personal assistant. You will become part of our team in Norrköping where we work with a fantastic 22-year-old guy.

About the position:

The client is wheelchair-bound and needs help with everything from activities to hygiene. The client lives in his own apartment in central Norrköping. The client has double staffing around the clock and awake night shifts. Due to the significant supervision and care needs, it is required that you have a nursing assistant education or long experience with a complex medical background. You will accompany the client on daily activities and outings. You will perform infection prevention measures. The client enjoys music, movies, and being outdoors. The work with the client includes handling of feeding tubes/PEG, high-flow machines, and PEP masks. You will also need to assist him during epileptic seizures. It is very important to remember that you are the client's arms and legs, and you should always speak on his behalf during, for example, medical visits and activities.

● You are focused, attentive, and meticulous, and you don't give up easily. You will know how the client feels through body language and how he wants things, for example, when he is stressed, happy, irritated, tired, or unwell.

About you:

We need you to be communicative in all situations, for example, during visits to healthcare facilities. You need to be able to take your own initiatives and collaborate in a large group. As a person, you need to be driven, attentive, and reliable, as acute situations may arise that require quick responses. We require that you are a trained nursing assistant or have worked in healthcare with severely ill patients.

Working hours and Employment Rate

You will be employed by Björkö Assistans, which is the client's assistance company. We are currently looking for an assistant for a position covering approximately 80%. The shifts are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. Day shifts are from 07:00-14:30/07:30-15:00 and evening shifts are from 14:30-21:00/15:00-21:30. (Always double staffing.)

Salary and Agreement

At Björkö Assistans, you as an assistant receive a fixed base salary per hour + vacation pay, as well as additional compensation for evenings, weekends, and nights. A collective agreement is in place.
