Special Education Teachers Wanted at Vikbolandsskolan

We are looking for special education teachers who, together with colleagues, build secure relationships and develop an inspiring and high-quality learning environment at the municipality's only F–9 school.

Who are we?

Vikbolandsskolan is located in a scenic area on Vikbolandet, in a rural environment with strong local ties and proximity to the archipelago. Here, students from preschool to grade 9 attend, and the school is characterized by closeness between students and adults, high engagement, and ongoing development work. The upper school has three parallel classes with about 20 students in each class.

The school is in an exciting phase where we are systematically working to build long-term structures for safety, studies, and increased goal fulfillment. You will be an important part of this work.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for several teachers for our grades 6-9 track, and the positions will be adapted according to competence and qualifications. Mentorship is included in the assignment. You will work closely with colleagues in a relational context where safety, participation, and learning are the focus.

Positions we are looking for:

• German Teacher – teaching in grades 6-9.
• Spanish Teacher – teaching in grades 6-9.
• Home Economics Teacher – teaching in grades 6-9.
• Music Teacher – teaching in grades 7-9.
• Physical Education Teacher – teaching in grades 7-9.
• Substitute Teacher in Swedish/Social Studies – teaching in grades 7-9.

You will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on our governing documents. You will be part of working teams and subject teams, collaborate with guardians, and contribute to collegial learning at the school.

Who are you?

You are a secure and engaged teacher with broad pedagogical competence and a relational approach. You enjoy working closely with students of different ages and see the value in creating structure, participation, and safety – both in the classroom and in collegial collaboration.

You are a certified teacher and have qualifications in one or more of the subjects we are looking for. If you have experience working in both practical and theoretical subjects, or have a broad subject combination, we see this as an asset. You are also accustomed to meeting challenging students and have the ability to create good relationships and teaching that meets students' diverse needs.
