We are now looking for a teacher for special needs school!

The special needs school (https://www.atvidaberg.se/forskola-skola-och-utbildning/grundskola/anpassad-grundskola (https://www.atvidaberg.se/forskola-skola-och-utbildning/grundskola/anpassad-grundskola)) in Åtvidaberg Municipality has a well-developed systematic quality work based on scientific principles, where the development of teaching takes place in practical collaboration. Our prioritized goals are to develop teaching based on teaching dimensions and to enhance teaching and assessment analysis to create a favorable learning environment. We are facing an exciting project where a completely new school unit will be built, expected to open in spring 2026. Once the school building is completed, the special needs school in Åtvidaberg will be integrated with Alléskolan's primary school, grades 4-9.

Your responsibilities

As a teacher in the special needs school, you will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in close collaboration with teaching colleagues and teaching assistants. The position involves teaching at the secondary level in subjects and subject areas carried out together with teaching colleagues.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a qualified teacher in core subjects of primary education. It is an advantage if you have the qualifications to teach in a special needs school and previous experience working in a special needs school. We see that you have a good understanding of how individuals acquire knowledge and the different conditions of people. You are a confident leader in the classroom who can organize and lead the teaching. We also see that you have the ability to work with others; to listen, show empathy, and respect. You are unpretentious and recognize and reward the contributions of others.
