In the municipality of Finspång, adapted primary school is offered for students in grades 1-9 at Nyhem School. We invest a lot in creative learning environments both indoors and outdoors, and we have a nice schoolyard with an accompanying school forest.

Your future tasks

• Develop and implement individual support strategies to promote students' participation and independence in learning.
• Analyze, evaluate, and adapt learning environments from a pedagogical and occupational therapy perspective, focusing on accessibility and sensory stimulation.
• Provide support and guidance to teachers/educators in both pedagogical and learning environment issues.
• Lead and drive development projects within learning environment and occupational therapy areas.
• Provide support to students/children in various learning environments, both individually and in groups.
• Conduct pedagogical observations and evaluations.

The role also involves

• Participating in student health teams and other relevant meetings.
• Contacting guardians.
• Unit-wide work, where you will work in several of the adapted primary school's different groups within both subjects and subject areas.

Who are you?

We would like you to have experience working as a resource educator or similar, with documented experience in developing learning environments. Knowledge in occupational therapy areas, such as sensory integration, fine motor skills, and cognition. Experience in assessing and adapting learning environments from an occupational therapy perspective. Good communication skills in speech and writing. Experience and knowledge of sign language support and/or sign language. We also hope that you are an engaged and visionary educator with a combination of resource pedagogical and occupational therapy competence, as well as a strong interest in learning environment development.
