Your responsibilities

Your starting point as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work according to the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

As a teacher, you see the entire school day of the student as important, and therefore you collaborate with both guardians and colleagues around the student. As part of this, the school's and after-school care's activities also collaborate to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection during both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit the students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the organization, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of various professions.

The position involves mentorship and teaching in mathematics in combination with another subject based on the needs of the organization and the employee's competence.

Your workplace

Harvestadsskolorna consists of Harvestadsskolan, which was built in 2015, and Bogestadsskolan, which was completed in 2018. Currently, we have about 540 students in our two schools. The schools are nestled between football fields, housing, and beautiful forest environments.

You who are applying

We are primarily looking for someone with a teaching license qualified to teach grades 4-6. Alternatively, we are looking for someone with a completed teacher education for grades 4-6. Alternatively, you are at the end of your education to become a teacher for grades 4-6. It is an advantage if you are qualified to teach mathematics.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-driven school through practice or as an employee. It is an advantage if you have taught in grades 4-6 for at least one school year. It is also an advantage if you have experience in grading or documenting students' learning during the school year.

In your role as a teacher in grades 4-6, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish. This is so that you, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), can organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher in grades 4-6, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community that occur in your professional role.
