SVAB is in a growth phase and we now need to strengthen our organization with a project manager. As a project manager at SVAB, you will be responsible for projects from idea to finished product – in an innovative environment where technology, customer benefit, and collaboration are in focus.

About the role

As a project manager with us, you will play a key role in development projects related to control systems and controls – primarily for excavators and other construction machinery. You will lead projects from start to finish and collaborate closely with both internal cross-functional teams and external customers. The projects vary in scope and complexity, but always have a clear technical focus with the operator at the center.

Your responsibilities

As a project manager in product development of control systems and controls, you will lead and coordinate all phases of the projects, from planning and development to implementation and follow-up. You will be responsible for developing project goals and detailed project plans including resource management, as well as ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications. You will identify and manage project-related risks and regularly report progress to the steering group. Throughout the project, you will act as the primary contact person for the customer. You will promote effective collaboration between the various functions of the project team, which is crucial for achieving project goals and delivering high-quality solutions.

We are looking for you

We are looking for an experienced project manager with strong technical competence and a background in the technology or automotive industry. You have a genuine interest in technology and a deep understanding of control systems, electricity, hydraulics, or controls. You are used to leading several parallel projects and are driven by working in a structured and goal-oriented manner. Your communication skills are one of your strengths – you are confident in both internal collaborations and dialogues with customers. You also have a pedagogical ability that allows you to clearly and engagingly visualize and present target images, project status, and technical solutions to both project members and external stakeholders. You are proficient in Swedish and have excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Experience with construction machinery or heavy vehicles is an advantage.
