Job Responsibilities

Hermodsdal School's adapted primary school is expanding with more students, and we are now looking for a teacher for grades 1-9 with qualifications in physical education and health.

You will teach students in grades 1-9 in PE and motor skills within the adapted primary school. Your role also includes teaching PE for grade 3 in the primary school. As a teacher at Hermodsdal School, you are responsible for planning, assessment, evaluation, and development of the educational activities in accordance with governing documents and the systematic quality work. You will conduct varied and enjoyable teaching for our students, both individually and in teams. At Hermodsdal School, we see every student! We work closely with both students and guardians. In your role, you are responsible for ensuring that every student succeeds based on their conditions and that all students are met with high expectations and tailored teaching. You will be part of a team with other teachers and supportive staff, where you collectively plan and are responsible for the students' education and development. Hermodsdal School has a student coordinator who collaborates with mentors and other staff to create a safe and developing learning environment for our students.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications for teaching grades 1-9 in physical education and health. Previous experience working in adapted primary school is considered an asset.

You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical abilities and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day. You are knowledgeable in language development related to your subjects. You should be well acquainted with digital tools and have a good understanding and knowledge of the school's governing documents and be able to apply them in your daily work. To fit as a teacher with us, it is important that you are a clear leader and that you are flexible and adapt to different situations. You have high expectations for your students, colleagues, and yourself. You are skilled at finding the extra adaptations that work for individual students. The position requires you to be flexible, have good collaboration skills, and be able to reorganize your teaching as needed and build good relationships.

Hermodsdal School is a K-9 school with both primary and adapted primary education. We work closely with both students and guardians and through regular result dialogues, we adapt teaching to each student.
