As a Packaging Engineer with us, you will be part of our Application Development team in Karlsborg. Here, we work on developing and optimizing packaging solutions to create value for our products and customers. We have a clear focus on packaging optimization and sustainability, and we are now looking for a solution-oriented engineer who wants to contribute with their technical expertise and creativity.

In this role, you will:

• Participate in technical customer projects and develop optimized packaging solutions for various applications and customers:
• Define existing solutions and customer requirements.
• Develop technical solutions, provide recommendations, and verify packaging performance.
• Create prototypes for customers.
• Engage in dialogue and presentations directly with customers as needed.
• Work closely with our sales teams, product development, and business development to drive development projects and collaborations. The role involves contact points with colleagues and partners worldwide.
• Use our sustainability tool and conduct LCA calculations (Life Cycle Assessment) to evaluate the environmental impact of packaging.
• Participate in the development of new working tools and methods, and lead internal technical investigations and projects within the packaging area.

The position is located at our mill in Karlsborg, Kalix.

We expect that you have:

• A degree in engineering in mechanical engineering, product development, materials technology, or another relevant education with a similar focus.
• Experience in packaging development and optimization is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
