At Vattenfall, we have decided to build a future where everyone can choose fossil-free ways to transport, produce, and live. Vattenfall Värme in Nyköping is now looking for a Power Engineer who wants to help shape tomorrow's climate-smart society.

About the Role

Vattenfall Värme in Nyköping operates the Idbäcksverket combined heat and power plant. We provide approximately 95 percent of the residents in central Nyköping with heat and electricity and contribute to the municipality's sustainability goals by promoting renewable heating and reducing the use of fossil oil. As a Power Engineer with us, you will play an important role in our maintenance work by maintaining a safe facility with good operational conditions and high availability.

You will be responsible for:

  • Short- and long-term maintenance planning for electrical power
  • Practical daily electrical maintenance (FU/AU)
  • Electrical safety issues
  • Project work

You will belong to a competent team of 9 people but will also collaborate with other groups at the facility, such as Operations and Safety/Health.

Requirements

  • Relevant technical education in electrical power or electrical engineering.
  • Several years of experience working with electrical power.
  • Good knowledge of electrical safety regulations and standards.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in project work and collaboration with other professional groups.
  • Driving license B is required.
