Procurement Officer at the Discrimination Ombudsman

The Discrimination Ombudsman (DO) works for a society free from discrimination and for those who have been discriminated against to receive redress. DO is now seeking a procurement officer who wants to contribute to this important work.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of procurement officer, you will primarily work operationally with procurement tasks. Your responsibilities include working with orders, renewed competitive tenders, and direct procurements, as well as supporting administrative tasks related to procurements. You will also be responsible for the procurement function's mailbox. You will plan and lead procurement processes independently from the initial needs analysis, conduct negotiations, and finally establish contracts. You will collaborate with other procurement officers in the section, one of whom is responsible for procurement and has a coordinating role within the procurement function.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

• a degree from a 2-year post-secondary education with a focus on public procurement or equivalent education or experience that DO deems equivalent
• experience in independently conducting direct procurements and renewed competitive tenders from state framework agreements
• experience working with procurement category work
• practical experience in the Public Procurement Act (LOU)
• good knowledge of working with contracts and contract follow-up
• very good computer skills in the MS Office suite
• very good knowledge of the Tendsign procurement tool and contract database or similar procurement tools

You should also have:

• good analytical skills
• the ability to work in a structured and efficient manner with a high degree of accuracy
• the ability to be service-oriented and provide qualified support to management and employees on procurement issues
• a solution-oriented, proactive working style and the ability to drive work forward based on the needs of the organization
• the ability to work independently and switch between different tasks and levels of difficulty
• a trustworthy demeanor with a high degree of integrity
• very good collaboration skills and the ability to build good relationships
• the ability to communicate clearly and express yourself correctly, appropriately for the target audience, and understandably both verbally and in writing in Swedish

Meritorious:

• practical experience from participating in directive-driven procurements above the threshold value

The position is a temporary position with a start date in September 2025 or by agreement, lasting until December 31, 2026, at the latest.
