The Role of Project and Design Manager 

As an experienced Project and Design Manager at AFRY, you will lead, coordinate and drive projects throughout the entire construction process – from early stages to execution and handover. The assignments can vary within infrastructure, from individual projects to larger long-term multidisciplinary projects. The work involves great freedom and significant responsibility alongside knowledgeable colleagues. You will steer the collaborative work in cooperation with the client and project team towards the project's overall goals. You will report in the project to the client and any steering group.

We are looking for someone with a technical background, preferably an engineering degree, and the ability to lead projects in all phases. You should be accustomed to handling both large and small projects and thrive in a role where you can be both creative and solution-oriented. It is important to us that you feel a drive to develop and help your colleagues grow in their roles. We also appreciate if you share your experiences and knowledge with more junior project, construction, and design managers, and we offer a culture where you can exchange experiences with other experienced leaders across AFRY with good opportunities for further education. Qualifications

To thrive in the role of Project and Design Manager at AFRY, we see that you have: 

• At least 5 years of experience, preferably more, in project and/or design management within infrastructure, energy, or industry, with experience as a consultant and/or from the client organization. Those with experience from the contracting side are also welcome to apply. 
• An engineering degree or equivalent relevant experience from other related fields.
• The ability to express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. 
• Very good knowledge of laws and regulations within construction law. We consider it a given that you have extensive experience working with standardized contracts such as AB04, ABT06, ABK09, etc. 
• Desirable: Project management certification according to IPMA or PMP. If you also have construction management/project management experience, that is a plus.

We also see that you, as an experienced Project and Design Manager, have the ability to see opportunities for expanded business. You enjoy working with people and have a passion for making a difference both in your projects and in your colleagues' development. 

We are now looking for reinforcement in our teams in northern Sweden.
