We are looking for you to strengthen our team of support assistants in Karlshamn municipality.

Job Description:
According to the LSS Act (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons), you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for support measures according to LSS.

We work based on a low-arousal approach. Therefore, it is important that you both have knowledge of and understand the importance of a low-arousal attitude, i.e., that you adapt based on what the user needs. Other methods we work with include Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Regarding these methods, we have a close collaboration with the HSL organization, which includes method supporters, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nurses.

Qualifications:
We are looking for someone with a nursing education focused on LSS/psychiatry or alternatively a nursing assistant education or other pedagogical education. The employer reserves the right to assess which educations meet the educational requirements.

The work requires good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing and the ability to use a computer as a working tool.

A requirement for the position is that you hold a B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle.

It is important that you have good collaboration skills and the willingness to work as a team with the participant in focus. It is essential that you have good empathy skills, where you easily understand and relate to other people's feelings and behaviors. This means that you read the person you meet and adapt how you act based on what you perceive. The position requires that you are flexible and can easily adjust to changing conditions. You will develop and support the users with pedagogical methods in Karlshamn municipality.

We are looking for 2 positions, one that is a permanent employment and one that is a temporary position for at least the rest of the year.
Full-time as a starting point, but if you wish to work part-time, we can discuss that in a potential interview. Start date according to agreement.
