Therapist at Sjöarp Group Homes

Cura Individutveckling is a municipal federation with the municipalities of the county as members. Our mission is to conduct activities where the municipalities see advantages in coordinated efforts. Sjöarp Group Homes is tasked with meeting the needs of member municipalities for placements concerning adults with autism with severe issues. Sjöarp can offer an integrated living arrangement with daily activities in a calm and secure environment just outside Bräkne-Hoby. Sjöarp Group Homes has a total of 13 accommodation places distributed across 5 homes. The target group is varied. Some have greater care needs while others may have high-functioning autism.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a therapist, you support the client with personal care and a meaningful daily life and leisure activities. You follow the client throughout the day, including in daily activities where the engagement is adapted to the client’s own needs and conditions.

To create security for the clients, we use clarifying pedagogy, which has its origins in TEACCH pedagogy, as well as low-arousal responses and MI.

QUALIFICATIONS

We want you to have relevant post-secondary education in behavioral science, social work, or pedagogy, or relevant high school education such as care and nursing/child and leisure. Experience in similar work is an advantage. If you have experience working with individuals with NPF, self-harm behaviors, and outward aggression, that is also a plus.

The work requires that you have a calm and secure demeanor and good collaboration skills. Quality assurance work and documentation require you to communicate clearly in speech and writing and have computer skills.

You must have a B driver's license (manual) and a valid extract from the police criminal record.
