Procurement Buyer with a focus on Direct Material

Background

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Buyer with a focus on Direct Material for an exciting assignment in a global industrial environment.

The assignment runs from May 15, 2025, to December 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension and is located in Gothenburg, with the option for 25% remote work.

Responsibilities

As a Procurement Buyer in the Pipes & Plastic category, you will be a key player in an international purchasing team. Your mission includes ensuring cost-effective and high-quality procurement of production materials for the company's facilities in Europe and Asia. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders such as research and development (R&D), quality assurance (SQM), manufacturing, and after-sales to optimize the supply chain and create value in the purchasing process.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Conducting commercial negotiations and contract writing.
• Strategic purchasing work to optimize the supplier base.
• Managing parallel projects within the purchasing area.
• Actively identifying and implementing new business opportunities and effective solutions.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

• At least three years of experience in purchasing and commercial work, including negotiations and contract management.
• A university degree in economics, engineering, or equivalent.
• Fluent English in both spoken and written form.
• Commercial drive and a strong ability to challenge and improve existing processes.
• High integrity and a good understanding of business relationships.
• Experience in purchasing within the automotive industry is an advantage but not a requirement.

• Location: Gothenburg with the possibility of 25% remote work.
