Håstensskolan is currently a school for grades 6-9 but will in the future become a K-9 school. The school is located in Varberg's urban area, close to the municipality's large sports facilities and a newly built youth center. Currently, we have about 430 students.

Starting in the autumn term of 2025, Håstensskolan will move into a brand new school building, which will be a significant boost for students, teachers, and other staff. The new school is designed as a K-9 school, as well as for adapted primary school. This autumn, we will have about 720 students in grades 2-9, as well as about 90 students within the framework of adapted primary school.

Our educators work collaboratively on teaching development in various areas to enhance their teaching in order to provide as much benefit as possible for the students. Our goal is to be a school accessible to all students where they can develop as far as possible towards both social and academic goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety Officer!

All students must be ensured a school environment where education is characterized by safety. Students should feel secure in all activities organized by the principal, which usually take place during the school day. This applies to both the internal and external environments of the school. It also includes other activities than teaching, such as school meals and breaks. Through conversations, collaboration, and cooperation, you enable students to thrive and feel safe at school and receive the support they need.

You will be connected to the school's EHT, values group, and student council. A prioritized area of work is that you actively engage with corridor students we have at the school today and in the future. You should be a source of security in the school's indoor and outdoor environments and keep track of people visiting Håstensskolan from outside. Break activities are also something you may be responsible for. You may also have responsibility for the school's café operations, where you work to create a safe and pleasant meeting place for our students. You will work to create a vibrant café where student participation and inclusion are fundamental.

QUALIFICATIONS

• We are looking for someone who is a trained social pedagogue.
• You have experience working in schools.
• You have good knowledge and understanding of various methods and approaches that support students based on their needs throughout the school day.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the role during the hiring process.

• As a social pedagogue, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create good relationships, primarily with students but also with other colleagues at the school.
