Engaged Support Assistant Wanted

We are now looking for an engaged support assistant who has a strong interest in working with individuals with mental disabilities at Skogsläntan service housing.

The Role of Support Assistant with Us

In the role of support assistant, you will provide our tenants with support in all aspects of life. The goal of the intervention is to provide good living conditions and enable influence and participation. Your tasks include establishing social documentation and implementation plans. We work based on low-affective responses, motivational conversations, and clarifying pedagogy. The working method is systematic based on agreed processes and routines, but the work also involves a lot of freedom under responsibility. Your colleagues are both support assistants and support pedagogues. In addition to your colleagues, you will receive support from the HSL team and method developers.

Your Profile

You are a person who has a great commitment to our tenants and is passionate about each tenant's participation. You are also curious, attentive, and positive in your interactions. You can organize your tasks, are comfortable with social documentation, and have the ability to be flexible when the situation requires it. For us, it is a given that you want to work in a team that enjoys their work and collaborates unpretentiously to provide the best support for the tenants. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

has a relevant completed education such as nursing assistant training or child and leisure education or education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

It is an advantage if you have:

experience working in housing with special services focused on psychiatry.
experience working with individuals with challenging behavior
experience with comorbidity and/or substance abuse issues
experience with clarifying pedagogy

Our Offer and Other Information

We offer permanent full-time positions starting by agreement. You will work days, evenings, on-call overnight, and weekends.

Within the Department of Individual & Family Care, all employees within Housing with Special Services and Support at Home are employed full-time but have the opportunity to reduce to the desired employment rate based on the needs of the operation.
