Customers include the pharmaceutical industry, environmental laboratories, universities, institutes, and hospitals, so you will meet many different types of companies and cultures. Novalent is in a strong growth phase and is now expanding the team in Gothenburg with a service engineer driven to provide customers with the best possible service!

As a service engineer, you will work broadly within technology, including electronics, mechatronics, IT, and optics – a true dream for the technology enthusiast! You will primarily work at Novalent's customers in the western part of the country, handling everything from preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, installations, and calibrations. Your main responsibilities;

  • Primarily plan, report, document, and execute tasks independently and efficiently using the in-house developed CRM system.
  • Perform service, repair, and validation work at customer sites.
  • Install software for systems.
  • Ensure that the equipment we deliver functions according to the supplier's specifications.
  • Provide support to customers via phone, email, Teams.
  • Market and create quotes for service contracts for existing customers.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have experience in similar work and a strong technical interest. You enjoy solving technical problems and are curious to learn new technology. You will be Novalent's face to the outside world, so you need to be relationship-building, proactive, and service-oriented. To thrive in the role of service engineer, you need to be able to work independently while also being communicative and flexible, as you will encounter different professions in various environments.

Your qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in similar work, preferably with chemical or medical analytical equipment.
  • Post-secondary technical education in e.g., mechatronics, medical technology, or equivalent, or substantial experience that corresponds to education.
  • Knowledge of automation is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20 days per year.
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Office programs, especially Excel.
  • Driver's license B.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
