What you will do

At Packaging Design you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.

You will: Lead changes of packaging solutions, processes and methods at Volvo GTO. Target to optimize end-to-end supply chain with a circularity and sustainability. Achieving result through taking responsibility and ownership as an individual and as a team member.

Cost and environment are crucial to the Volvo group and we are in a prime position to have an impact on both when we:

• design packaging solutions for transporting parts.
• optimize filling degree without impacting part quality.
• design packaging and tools for reuse - repurpose - recycle.
• support each other as a team and drive improvements to our processes and tools.
• as part of Material Supply in Production Logistics collaborate globally.
• being a development function we are onboard in both product development and daily operation.
• are part of circular packaging core team where PL/GTO activities connected to PPWR will be coordinated.
• Lead specifically defined tasks within sustainability, initially high focus on EU requirements but broadening with time.
• Define and populate the Sustainability Sharepoint with tools, guides and trainings.

Your future team

Our team is located in several continents and countries where we collaborate with local, regional and global functions. The team is working in early phases (agile) through to product introduction. We lead the circular packaging initiative to further improve our designs to reduce impact on the globe.

• Good logistics or production engineering expertise
• Proven project management or investigation experience
• Manufacturing process knowledge
• Sustainability or Circularity competence
• Networking skills in an international business environment
• Good experience in working with O365 applications
• Eager to learn and adopt new technologies
